MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, a ministry that has been designed to help support and nurture mothers with young children from infants through kindergarten age. MOPS is an international network that helps moms with trusted resources.
A MOP recognizes that these early years are important in a child's development. These days are filled with special needs. At SCBC the MOPS ministry provides emotional and spiritual support to mothers of preschoolers from around the St. Louis area. They meet every month on the 3rd Wednesday at 9:00 am at the church. During the meeting child care is provided for preschoolers. For the Day MOPS Group, contact Heather Allen at hndzfl@aol.com For the Evening MOPS Group, contact Kathy Brutton at mrschatty@yahoo.com
First Impressions Preschool at South County Baptist Church provides quality care and services in a warm, safe, Christian environment. Children from the surrounding area can learn and develop as individuals. Progress reports, parent conferences, and monthly letters help keep parents involved. There are a variety of activities that are prepared by a nurturing staff to help develop multiple skills in your child. There is also Bible story time and chapel services. There is a Prekindergarten class and a preschool class. If your child is potty trained and over 2 1/2 years of age they may enroll. Class size is limited to 10 children. Classes meet Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 am to 12 noon and run from September to May. Tuition is $65. There is a registration fee of $30. Enrollment for next year begins February 1st, 2007. For additional information please contact the church office at 314-843-5558.
