The VISION

South County Baptist Church is involved in many other ministries besides those already mentioned.

1. Counseling And Prayer Ministries are an important part of the church program. SCBC maintains an ongoing prayer list. There is a prayer service at 6:30 every Wednesday evening. There is also an automated "phone tree" prayer ministry that sends immediate prayer requests to over 150 members when needed.

2. Special Ministry provide educational programs for those persons who are developmentally disabled. There are experienced and caring people who work with SCBC's special friends.

3. Christian Family Ministry encourages family togetherness and strengthens marriages through retreats, seminars and a variety of family activities.

4. Furniture Ministry meets the physical needs of many in the St. Louis area. This group seeks to provide furniture, clothing, and other needed items to families in crisis, refugees, and anyone in need.

5. Food Pantries and Clothing Distribution provides food and clothing for several inner-city churches. South County Baptist Church also provides food baskets and gifts to families with special needs at Christmas and Thanksgiving.

6.Sewing Group are South County ladies who sew hundreds of baby jackets, blankets, and pillows for local hospitals.

7.English As A Second Language is a ministry that attempts to share Jesus through helping Internationals learn conversational English. There is currently six trained teachers, and classes are offered on Wednesday evenings right at the church at no charge to the participants.

8.Womens Ministry provides spiritual and social opportunities for the women of SCBC, including retreats and other overnight activities, as well as a variety of social events throughout the year.

9. Operation Christmas Child provides over 200 shoebox Christmas gift packages through Samaritan's Purse for needy children in several foreign countries.
